Anyone for hockey?

Well, we have now arrived in Lethbridge, having said farewell to our hosts in Medicine Hat. Thanks to Sharla and Wayne for opening their house, as well as Dr Ray and Dr Al for chauffeuring me around during the day. I like this “Dr (first name)” business – I have been introduced to all and sundry as Dr Maura and I’ve decided I like it – take note all at Ayrshire & Arran!!

I am now staying with Suzanne and Joseph, who are both former GSE team members. It will be good to exchange stories over the coming days. We have a packed programme, but there should be some “down time” built in (I hope!). We started by going to an ice hockey game this evening – it was quite exciting!! Sadly, the local team did not win.

This is just a short blog, as we are up at 6 am tomorrow for our first “sunrise” meeting – that’s a nice way of saying “you’ll be shattered the rest of the day”!!

Then I am off to the prison (to meet the Healthcare Manager) – do you think they will let me out again??!!

  1. It was wonderful to meet you all today at City Hall in Lethbridge! It was a real pleasure, as I don't often meet people from other parts of the world.

My story about your visit to Lethbridge will run in tomorrow's edition of the Lethbridge Herald. You should also be able to find it online at www.lethbridgeherald.com, or on my own portfolio blog (on Saturday) at
    http://kevins-stories.ca.

Thank you for taking the time to speak with me, and I wish you all the very best for the remainder of your time here and in the future.

    Sincerely,
