Yes, yes...I am still here and I'm alive! You would think that being the geek on the team I would be on here all the time, but I have been taking a break from technology for a few days...
.....hahaha who am I kidding, I've just been tired, and had trouble with my laptop in Lethbridge so didnt want to take the chance of typing a mammoth blog in the off chance that I lost it.
So yes we had an amazing time in Lethbridge, some may say I had a better time than the others, but thats a story for another day, and one I am hoping to add to...so I may be back in Lethbridge over the coming months if I'm invited! (Hint, hint! hehe)
I would like to thank my hosts, Robin and Sharon Hood, so so much for their hospitality. You are both amazing people, and I really do feel as though I have an adopted "Canadian Mom". If that invite to stay is there I may take you up on it! I really cant thank you both enough!
While in Lethbridge, as you may already have gathered we presented twice, I visited Stephen Grahams IT company and also the IT Department of Lethbridge Hospital. They seem to be having the same logistical problems we have in NHS Ayrshire and Arran, which is unfortunate as I had hoped they could give me a solution! But it was informative, and I realised that we are incredibly understaffed compared to IT departments in Canada.
So we have moved to Drumheller, the badlands and home of the dinosaurs and Hoodoos! It truley is a unique landscape. I had my vocational visit to the hospital today and spoke with the Health Records manager as their IT support is located in Red Deer where we visit in a couple of weeks.
We have had a great reception in Drumheller and would like to thank everyone involved for what has been a very well organised visit.
We are visiting the Penitentiary tomorrow, and then moving on to Airdrie on Wednesday...so I will try and update this a little more often.
I shall await the comments to this post from the Lethbridge members about the night of the Social! hahaha
Oh...and if anyone is looking for older blog posts, scroll to the bottom of the screen and click on "Older Posts"...I have had a few people ask me about that!
Ta ta for now, eh!
