And what a reception we received at the airport from members of the various clubs we will be visiting while we are here. It was an unexpected but amazing surprise, and was great to meet everyone who was so friendly. A huge thank you to everyone who met us at the airport, especially District Governer Mark Starett.
The sun was out for us when we arrived, although there is a real chill to the wind. The rotary members who met us at the airport assured us that is is now going to get warmer after a very bad winter, although we may still see some snow flurries depnding on where we are.
Both the flight from Glasgow to Heathrow and the connecting flight to Calgary were extremely smooth, although we are now all very tired. Everyone else managed to get a sleep on Friday before leaving, but I am now still on the go since 10am on Friday with only a few short cat naps on the plane to Calgary! So its time to freshen up, get some dinner and then some well deserved sleep!
